Site Surveying

While you may be focused on how creative you want your sign to be, you may be forgetting something. There are usually various rules and regulations regarding zoning and sign permitting in the town or city where you want to install your sign. Knowing what to do (and more importantly, what not to do) is critical to getting your sign up efficiently.

Working With Regulations, Not Against

At Excel Signworks, we will work with local officials and do site surveys for the location where you want to install your sign. We’ll look over whatever plans you have, and help you develop some if you’re not sure where to start. If you don’t own the property where you’re planning to install your sign, we’ll work with the property manager and landlord to make sure everything is in tip-top shape before construction begins.

Surveying the Property

Once we obtain any relevant permits and permissions from your township, borough or city, we’ll do a site survey of the property. We’ll head out to the location and take pictures and measurements of the area where your sign will go. We’ll take into consideration any local ordinances that may limit the size or shape of your sign, as well as look at the dimensions and size of your building frontage. We’ll even check out how close you are to any heavily-traveled areas, like highways or busy intersections. This way, we’ll make sure your sign can be easily seen.

Signs That are Right for You

Another way we can help is to aid you in choosing the best signage for your business. Of course, in the end, it’s up to you what you want, but Excel Signworks can assist you in deciding what the most cost-effective sign would be for your company. If you want to get creative, we can help with that too.

We serve Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas, so if you need a sign and need help with site surveying, get in touch with us today.
